A little about us

Officially founded in October of 2020, Vista Home co-founders, Heather and Suzanne have collaborated for years on home design. What emerged as a common interest and passion became a full-time gig. Working together first for family and friends who needed staging in the real estate industry, Suzanne and Heather have now established a growing business, staging a diverse array of Kansas City homes.

Right before the two-year mark, Inhabit KC Staging became Vista Home. This start-up business that began as a side-gig, maybe-it-will-be-fun experiment had indeed turned into a legitimate business that we loved. As we began thinking about what vision we wanted to have for this company, we started thinking about kaleidoscopes and the way, with one simple turn, one simple twist, your view is changed. This seemed much like what we hoped to do in staging and design.

Right around that same time, we both visited Italy — home to the most amazing views — from the sea to people watching at cafes in larger cities, we were inspired. We took these ideas on view shifting, of course looked up words for “view” in Italian… and wah-la! Vista. Vista Home. Giving homes a new view in Kansas City.

From country farmhouse in Olathe and Turner to traditional contemporary stages in Overland Park and Lawrence to mid-century and boho vibes in midtown, Suzanne and Heather really love capturing the essence of a home and bringing it to life.
